Afgans and a cuppa by julzmaioro

Afgans and a cuppa

As I have been a bit down on power the last couple of weeks I seem to have had some 'domestic genes' come into play ... ( I am sure it would be short lived) so I have made a few batches of Afgans.. good for Farmer George to have a few extra treats this time of year when he is very busy and coming in from the cold.. and they have gone down a treat .. some made the traditional way with chocolate icing and walnuts, and the others with white chocolate and pistachio nuts .. Must say FG does not have his cuppa out of this sweet cup .. This is a favourite of mine .. it was my MIL and just love the design and colours ..
Certainly looks like it was a good way to use your time! Great food shot as well.

I am astonished at the Afghans. Years ago I bought a cookbook collated and printed inNZ. It had a recipe for afghans in the biscuit section. I had never heared of them, but the became a family staple. Love the crockery, too. Your setup is great, too.

That is a very striking pattern on that China. I would think FG prefers his in a mug, funny to think of his Farmer hands managing this teacup! I have a NZ Edmonds recipe book, will have to check out the recipe. Never heard of those biscuits. You picked a great time to stay in & rest up. You will be quite enjoying it at home, I do if ever I'm forced inside, I start to think do I want to go out!
