Three Squawkers...

Just after sunrise the mist drifts through the valley below our house .. as I took the shot these 3 Spur Winged Plovers flew of squawking... we have nik named these birds the squawkers as their bird call is not very pleasant ...

I hate those birds, was seriously dive-bombed one day on the farm while I was walking along a bank in a rice-paddy and had no-where to go.

@golftragic Pleased to hear you hate them as well ... another unwanted import from across the Tazzy ... Got blown to the South Island in the late '30's and spread themselves around the country since.. they do get a bit stroppy when you get too close to their ground nests...
