Yesterday afternoon I opened the door and this lovely 'freshly hatched' Monarch butterfly flew in .. He settled on the tulips that I had just put in the vase and stayed there practicing with his wings for a short time and then flew outside again ...
It is very late in the season for Monarchs to be still 'hatching' so lets hope he hangs about in a safe warm and dry place... BOB
