Another shot from our time in this lovely bit of bush.. this is such a beautiful spot with a big waterfall at the top of the hill and then a series of small waterfalls tumbling down around the mossy rocks.. The sunlight was coming through catching the light on the tree's and the rocks..
We just discovered this spot a few years back and then it was little known, but it is getting very popular with the local photographers .. as we went in a couple were going in with their dog and they said they were local and never been there before ..
Before 365 I thought the “Bush” was arid and desert-like with scruffy shrubs and huge trees. After 365, I see it is a term for some beautiful landscapes. This is wonderful!
@louannwarren I think perhaps 'Bush' could be unique to NZ.. meaning our Native forest.. we call planted pine trees forest.. but native self seeded areas 'Bush'..
@happypat no I don't like the water too milky either.. it was working well for me this time.. Spring is a great time to visit.. but this spot doesn't vhsnge too much with the seasons.. always lush and green..
@julzmaioro well I have now re-thought my original comment, I confused “Bush” with “Outback” in my mind. It’s the Outback that’s desert like and it’s in Australia, not New Zealand! I blame my sprained ankle for my confusion! Ha!
@louannwarren Yes I think it is more of a Australian term to use 'bush' for the out back .. don't worry we all have different for different things.. lol ..Hope the ankle isn't causing too much of a problem..
