Coming home a different route from town today we came across this stunning Kowhai tree in full bloom and a bowl of nectar for the native Tui birds.. but next to it was a beautiful Pohutukawa in full flower which would of been an attraction for the Tui's as well... The Pohutukawa is a little out of season ...
Some kowhais as ours, do not have a lot of green. We have about 7 of these and some are just full of leaves but the big one is just like this! I'm glad to see the railway - in use!
At first I thought you had been delving in your past library as it looked like autumn then I realised they were new leaves & flowers...beautiful colourful picture. Fave.
