Love the colour the aggies bring to the garden this time of the year.. They are classed as a bit of a weed in our part of NZ as they seed down and can block drains on the side of roads.. But these ones grow 'on mass' in one corner of the garden and so far have escaped FG's threats..
@mrslaloggie had never heard of the called lily of the Nile before and after googling also see the are called African Lily.. My bit of info I have learnt today..
What! Weeds? FG wants to cut them down? Beauties, these flowers. I have been impressed with all of @kgolab 's presentations of them as objects of photographic artistry interest. Your central flower is so strong and vivid while the background ones supportingly soft.
The one thing I was most impressed by on my first visit to NZ was these flowers everywhere. Roadsides, house drives, farm races, gardens etc. They looked wonderful yet you all class them as weeds! We grow them in our gardens!
