The other night when we had a BBQ dinner with @dide and Chook at the beach sent the other 3 off in the opposite direction to be my 'props'.. hard to give instructions with the roar of the sea.. They completely had the wrong idea when I was doing sign language to them.
Think they thought I was one of the Village People and started doing Y.M.C.A.... lol.. I was actually asking FG to bring me my tripod..

Such beautiful scenery - great idea to have props in the photo. They were very obliging! They must be well trained - they are in exactly the right spot! It is so good to have a sense of scale too.

Great shot I wonder what other people on the beach thought about you doing the YMCA-style dance all on your own - at least there were three of them together, lol!
I’m not surprised they got confused…a good way off & noisy sea….bet you were frustrated but worth it for this lovely photo. Lovely evening walk. That beach looks very like the coastline Ant took us too just south of Nicau cafe. He knew a farmer there & we went in a quad bike across fields & into the beach. I remember the tall cliffs.
@happypat Yes probably not that far apart as the crow flies.. this is Nort of the Waikato river mouth you would of been south of the WRM.. love the ruggedness of the coastline
