Another shot of one of the Tui's that were putting a show on for us the other day at the Quarry gardens. He he is feeding on a Bromeliad in a pohutukawa tree. I say 'he' but I can't be sure as the only difference between the boys and girls ( by eye) is that the boys are slightly bigger and there is no comparison in this shot..
I thought the girls might not have that white blob on the throat….not so then. He looks very pretty among the red flowers. Looks like they are attracted to the colours.
