Finally dry enough today to mow the lawn, which has been growing rather rapidly due to all the rain and the very humid temps. As I was mowing the lawn a got a blast of beautiful perfume and it was this rose. This Rosa Rugosa is very hardy which suits my coastal exposed garden. Has a main flowering at the beginning of the season and then several lighter ones over the next few months.. It has a real old fashioned rose smell and beautiful red hips in the Autumn.
