Today we went and gave the family graves a tidy before Christmas, the grounds are surrounded by lots of Pohutukawa tree's that are covered with bloom's. If you look to the left behind the tree the ground has a red hue, it is the stamen's from the pohutukawa. I have heard that tourist's wonder what the red cotton is on the ground.
You are so lucky to have these gorgeous trees. As it’s summer & gets darker later you still have these lovely red blooms looking festive! Nature knew what it was doing giving you these at Christmas.
