As I have quite a few images of our little tour out to the Gannet I thought I would put another up .. As you can see from the top left, they all gather on the top of a flat cliff and all seems very orderly and are all in rows.. Top right a couple of the gannets returning to the nest.. love the shadow on the cliff.. We were expecting them to be bringing food (fish) for their partner an baby,but they just seem to be bringing in grass/straw for the nest.. lower left one bird perched on a post just having a scratch.. note the feet.. lower right, they are very graceful and smooth flyers, and when they get the wind right just hover over the Colony..
@kathysview@tracie8266 Thanks, we were staying in the area, so went back several times so that we could get the light right, so very pleased with the early morning shots.. the ones with the shadows..
