Mustering by julzmaioro

Mustering

While up 'One Tree Hill' another of Auckland Volcanoes today we saw the Park Ranger doing some sheep mustering.. the easy way from the comfort of his airconditioned ute.. and the dog doing all the work.. they got them through the gate well.. love how the light was catching the trunks of the gum trees..
There are beautiful trees in this domain and so nice to see you have shown some here! Are you sure you are not on an Australian outback station?

I wonder how many "one tree hills" there are in the world? Great capture... that really is the lazy way isn't it?

@bella_ss ha ha you could be right I am sure there is lots.. this one hasn't got a 'tree on top' any more it got cut down several years ago... and they can not agree what to replace it with.. there is a Cenetaph on the very top and lots of other tree's around and about..

A well trained sheep dog is a sight to behold...love watching the trials in NZ ...Ant had quite a few successes at one time but doesn't seem to do it anymore....no time! Quad bikes can't get the places these dogs can. You have caught the action beautifully here!

@happypat You re right about the trial dogs Pat, George's Grandfather was a National Champ.. and we had one of his breed dogs when we were 1st married and have never had a dog as good since..

Great shot - not bad considering you were in the middle of the city, not in a rural area. You must be pleased with the sharpness of your zoom lens!
