Life on the farm.. by julzmaioro

Life on the farm..

Another shot of everyday life on the farm.. This is George shifting the fence to give 'The Springers' another share of fresh grass.. Springers are the cows that are nearly ready to calve.. they are given a fresh break of grass every 24 hours plus hay so as not to waste the long grass.. George keeps very fit and trim because our farm is very hilly and there is still a lot of jobs that have to be done by foot.. Good on a day like it was this morning.. but not so good on a wet cold winters day...
gorgeous photo and loved the story

This shot is really nice too - love the way the early sunshine is glinting on G's gumboots.

Great shot and interesting story of your life on the farm. My husbands family were farmers way back in Wales.

Lovely light and composition. You'd have to be fit on a farm to keep up!

Great shot of the modern dairy life. Those electric fences make life a lot easier.
