Blue A.... Fly

Bit of a insect watch today.. as I was looking to get an image of the corokia hedge there was a lot of fly's around.. they seem to like the flowers.. The worst thing about the approaching summer months is that we will be getting more and more fly's around.. don't know what the proper name for this blow fly is but we have always called them 'Blue A.... Fly's...

I have just set off a bomb in our attic ....fly bomb I mean.....we get cluster flies at this time of the year ..half dead they seem to hibernate in the roof so have got rid of them for this year hopefully! We don't get them at all much in the rest of the house as we have no animals now, great capture of this pest!
