This is a shot of the beautiful Island Sanctuary that I visited yesterday along with @dide & @rustymonkey.. it is a beautiful spot that is just over and hour by boat from NZ biggest city of Auckland.. Tiritiri Matangi is one of the world's most successful volunteer conservation projects. It has been revegitated with around 300,000 native tree's and consequently 12 of New Zealands endangered bird and 3 reptile species have been reintroduced... It is a 'must go to' for every New Zealander and tourist visiting our beautiful country ...
@maggiemae Yes Maggie if you check my other album and both @dide and @rustymonkey you will see a variety of the birds we saw, just had to showcase the beautiful island it self.. You can visit the Island Wed to Sunday and leaves Auckland at 9am and returns at 3.30.. you can have a guided tour though we just walked our own trail so that we could take our time with photo's
