New Zealand Flax.. by julzmaioro

New Zealand Flax..

When we were at the Café yesterday .. the Flax plants growing in the garden were covered with flowers as you can see they are loaded with pollen and the birds just love them .. in particular Tui's, but as several motorbikes had just driven in they had all flown away .. but I sure they would of been back..
Spectacular flower and exquisite capture.

they are quite special - I posted a pic of some and most people seemed to think they were odd! You can see the glossiness of them and the stamen sticking out to tempt the tui!

Heck - I have been eyeing up our flax flowers, so you have beaten me to this one. Waiting for a calm evening and hoping to sit on the hill and get some tui shots….. I love the way you have photographed these flowers - such neat colours and lovely bokeh background. Fav
