Honesty.... Honestly...

My Honesty flowered a few weeks back and put on a pretty mauve show.. but what I really like about this plant is the seed heads.. both at this green stage and at the silvery paper stage.. Watch this space.. liked how the sun was shining through and showing up the seeds..

A lovely capture of the seed heads -brings back memories of childhood when they came to the silvery stage being able to strip off the two outer casings ,releasing the seeds and being left with the fragile inner silvery membrane -- so pretty !!

Oh I used to have honesty in the garden at Inglewhite. Love the seed heads, soon they will be all silvery papery beauties. Biennial I know so make the most of them this year! Might buy some seeds in the Spring!
