The other day while on our 'Road Trip' when we were in the bush at the water fall I looked up and saw the tree canopy.. This is the native Kawa kawa tree which is called NZ Pepper tree and it is used by the Maori people for cooking and also medicine.. and the bugs really like it as it is very unusual to see leaves that do not have holes in .. and the black stems of the tree are a great contrast for the bright green leaves..
