Dr Suess trees.... by julzmaioro

Dr Suess trees....

Tonight we made a bonfire and let off some fireworks we had had a bit of a mixed bag of weather through out the day and it was doubtful as to weather we would be able to have it ... but the rain stopped and it turned out to be a lovely evening .. The men lit the fire, the Guy the kids had made was on top and as the evening darkened some lovely light .. but then a very moody seamist moved over ... I call these tree's my Dr Suess tree's ....
Nice shot.

such a beautiful photo. I remember Guy Fawkes night from my childhood with great affection... fireworks are banned now. So many children hurt I guess...but it was great fun.

Such a beautiful place, just wonderful. How nice to be able to shoot fireworks when and where you want to. This is a huge fav for me.

Lovely tree. We don't celebrate Guy Fawkes night here for risk of bushfires.

Interesting history behind this day. I like the way you've captured and described the character of the tree.

@joysabin you are right about the history... the Grandkids were asking the other day why k We 'celebrate' Guy Fawkes they were still confused after I told them...

Good to hear you still celebrate Guy Fawkes Day, our nanny state doesn't allow fireworks in private hands these days. As a kid we had wonderful bonfires and crackers on November 5. Great photo, BTW.

@golftragic Yes it is a bit sad that the 'Fun Police' have taken over and spoilt it for the majority that act responsible.. It is only a matter of time before it is banned here as well... But the accidents I have heard of so far were at Pro displays...

@julzmaioro Whatever happened to self-responsibility???

Beautifully captured silhouetted tree. Stunning sky colours.

Lovely tree silhouettes and soft colours.

@julzmaioro That's right, the lawyers and helicopter parents would be out of biz. When I got bitten (again) by a dog in my teens, the first thing my mother asked was 'what did you do to the dog?'.
