Nettuno and His Shadow by jyokota

Nettuno and His Shadow

I spent today in the first day of jury meetings, evaluating nearly 3200 submissions x 5 illustrations each. In my half hour between meeting and dinner, I quickly walked outside to take this photo at the Fontana del Nettuno en Piazza Maggiore. I realized how much I miss having a tripod when I see how grainy the ISO made this picture. I played around with different settings, and liked this one although it was a bit underexposed. I do like how I was able to capture the shadow of the statue, though.
I like how you captured the shadow. It almost looks he is about to walk out of the photo. Bolonga how cool is that..its still on my places to visit!

I really like the shadow! Great composition, and lighting on the top of the statue.

Great composition -- good taking advantage of the locale too.

it was mentioned before, but the shadow taking off after being stuck there for so long adds a great bit of humor! hope you're having fun.

Thanks, all, for your feedback! I wish you could see this statue in day light. The women on the corners of the fountain have water spouting of their breasts! And Nettuno's pose clearly identifies this Bologna depiction of him.
