Green and Black Poison Dart Frog by jyokota

Green and Black Poison Dart Frog

These frogs are tiny -- the size of thumbnails. The grass blades give you a sense of scale. Their skin is so shiny that it's nearly impossible to photograph without it looking blurry. Plus, the poor frog was trying to jump away from me and I kept chasing it.

Poor frog, imagine being chased by a camera-weilding giant!

@teachntravel -- ha, ha! So true . . . and one who was NOT being discreet about running after anything photographable.

Cranberries grow low to the ground in very sandy soil and they harvest wither by wet harvest, where they flood the bog and have these machine that beat the berries off the bushes( they make juices or crane sauce) or dry harvest ( the kind of cranberries you see as fresh berries in bags.

Check out this wet harvest of cranberries that have floated to the top and they gather them all in and truck them away. http://365project.org/sailingmusic/other-photos/2012-09-22

Stunning shot -- I love the macro and the color and details. It brings back such fond memories of our rainforest hike. If only I'd known then what I know now about photography!

@taffy So true, but I still think your Sony took the best photos. I found that 200mm just wasn't enough reach to capture monkeys or birds clearly. Hmm . . . I just realized I haven't posted any monkeys yet.

These frogs are beautiful, but I've never been able to see one outside of a zoo. What a lucky sighting!
