The lamplighter had already shed his official cape and long stick, and apologetically said something in Polish which I interpreted to mean "private lamp" to explain why he had to do this one in off-duty attire. Cathedral in the background.

Lisa, I especially appreciate your noticing the perspective because I squatted down low, and angled my camera up from as low as I could get it to show this idea of height. The tall cathedral in the background helps.
This is so beautiful, and mysterious, but - due to his "normal" attire - it also transports it all into today, which is even more magical. A very beautiful shot.
