I was in Shanghai for 8 days, and spent almost all of it in a hotel or the convention center. But one night, a publisher hosted me to dinner in a revolving restaurant at the top of this tower, overlooking the Bund, the famous strip of old buildings on one side of the bank of the river, facing ultra-modern skyscrapers across the river on the other side.
