Sigh...this brings back so many memories. Jim and I spent a lot of time in this canyon when we lived there. At the time, I didn't know enough to have good pictures as a result. Beautiful!

Yes, I was disappointed about not seeing an elk or moose because my desire to see one has increased ever since I saw my brother-in-law's photo of an elk walking in the water. But alas, there were none to be seen or photographed, but this location was SO close to the city that I could imagine going back there some day. IN fact, I could imagine spending hours just photographing all the little waterfalls and vignettes of nature. @Taffy -- you game?
@jyokota You have an open invitation to Maine and in the spring you can almost be assured of seeing one up in the Rangley Lake area. And in the spring you wouldn't have to wear international orange - black would be okay. lol
THe reason you see them in the spring is two fold. One the black flies drive them out and two they are moving a lot to try to lose the 2year olds who need to go out on their own.
