Archidemus, the "selfie" carver

Relief carving from 500 BC, by Archidemus. He had been cast away from his island, reason unknown, and lived out his life in this cave. This self-depiction includes the boat on which he presumably left his island. With so many wonderful photo opportunities throughout the week, there's no doubt that this was my favorite.
I LOVE your title! Great fun for the image and quite fitting. The composition itself is also strong, the way our eye travels into it via the selfie.

It was a lot harder work then taking a selfie! It's superb. I would have been entirely fascinated with it too. I like the way he is looking back and you follow his eyeline to the boats.
