Glass Feeders are Slippery! by jyokota

Glass Feeders are Slippery!

Well, squirrel, that's because it's meant for BIRDS. Remarkable recovery from slipping, though.

Caroline @cjwhite showed lots of lovely photos of birds at her glass feeder so I ordered one, too, only I've yet to photograph a bird in it, only squirrels and chipmunks.
Great series. I think the chain saved her.

Have that same feeder - haven't caught the squirrel in it yet - though that doesn't mean he hasn't managed it! He sure has all the other bird feeders

Thank you all for your kind comments on this, and on my other photos as well. As you can tell, I'm still trying to catch up from my 4 months away so this sequence is from September. I bought the bird feeder that Caroline @cjwhite features in many of her lovely bird photos but I've yet to photograph a bird in mine. Watching squirrels play and be caught in silly poses has been my entertainment, and @dutchothotmailcom -- that middle shot is not only hilarious, it's a bit x-rated, too! @robz -- I was laughing but also thrilled because you know when you have been lucky enough to have a camera in your hand when something is happening! @ludwigsdiana -- yes, I AM having fun in my backyard like never before in 25 years in this house. Thanks again -- and maybe some day, I'll catch a BIRD at this bird feeder.
