A friend suggested getting a fire table to extend the outdoor season but then another friend suggested bringing it into the screened porch to extend the outdoor visiting season even longer. My daughter and son-in-law came for a fire table visit for Christmas Day for about an hour until we got too too cold but at least it allowed us to visit in person for a bit. And, it provides a cozy place to sit and read.
I never seen this fabulous table, beautiful shot. It reminds me a bit of a kotatsu, although that is for the lower body keeping legs and feet warm. In fact we still have an antique one lined with copper.
@ludwigsdiana -- the idea of sitting around together around a warming table does transfer to the concept of kotatsu, you are so right! But as you say, keeping feet and legs warm under a blanket that keeps the heat in is much better than this, which gives off more visual warmth than actual heat. I also have a kotatsu!
I love Bolesławiec and have several pieces of it -- egg cups, mugs, cup and saucer, lemon juicer, bowls, and more. I was planning to buy a teapot and warmer this year but, sigh -- next trip.
