Home LIbrary, Day 2/30: Japanese LIterature Day

Today, I taught a class online about Japanese Literature for Children. A pile of books that are near to my personal reading history, these books represent childhood favorites, literary giants awarded with international honors, and even a book translated by the Empress Michiko. The stack is on the table where I had a video interview and black and w white background shows the library desks.

What an exciting profession you have, love your books all neatly stacked. Anno Sensei has some wonderful books.

Lovely! Books are the best! I am doing a challenge and today was ‘something I love’ - books for me while I cannot go too far on lockdown.

The desaturated background is emphasising the neatly stacked books!

Lovely to see your variety of Japanese books.... I find Japanese writing very beautiful.

Love how you desaturated the background, as Angelika said it´s laying the focus more on the books

Japanese literature for children... Great! How much I wish I could speak at least a few sentences in Japanese. The writing is wonderful.
I did a course in Shodō. I have arranged a special table at home for practicing at home. I haven't had the balance and the strength to do that lately. I plan to start again.
By the way, my son is studying Japanese Studies in Vienna. He is currently in the fourth semester. He studies very eagerly and is very motivated. Unfortunately, due to the circumstances, he is unable to start an already approved summer practice in Tokyo.

@jerome so nice to see you back, even without one of your marvellous photos. I was missing you. Stay with us and show us your art again!

@jgpittenger beat me to that comment. Looks like quite a collection, even though I don't have a clue about most of that pile.

Great use of SC! It makes the books, which are obviously the main focus, pop even more.
