I caught my 18 year old listening to Carl Orff's Carmina Burana, on youtube.
I have no idea how he came across the music or that he was inclined to listen to anything like that, so I was impressed! must be the ulitmate in teenage rebellion lol
I sought a translation of the most famous segment, O Fortuna and it impressed me even more...

O Fortune,
like the moon you are changeable, always waxing or waning;
hateful life first oppresses and then soothes as fancy takes it;
poverty and power it melts them like ice
Fate – monstrous and empty,
you whirling wheel, stand malevolent,
well-being is vain and always fades to nothing,
shadowed and veiled you plague me too;
now through trickery, my back is bare to your villainy.
Fate, in health and in virtue, is against me,
driven on and weighted down, always enslaved.
So at this hour without delay pluck the vibrating string;
since Fate strikes down the strong man,
everyone weep with me!
Used to use this musicwith a parachute with my class - fantastic as music builds then the big lift!!
Thanks for follow - back at you!!
Your son has good taste in music! I love the image to go with it!
