Castle Hill rocks

Its always great seeing the alpine environment, but unfortunately on the way over I was in an isle seat on the wrong side of the bus to take photos of the mountains bathed in beautiful morning light , and wouldn't you know it, on the journey back there was thick low cloud for most of the way and I couldnt even see the mountains! I did manage this shot of the Castle Hill rocks though.

@mastermek those are sheep tracks you can see running between the rocks, they are huge, and quite an expanse, they featured in the lion witch and wardrobe movies, the battle scene

Almost my favourite place! When I feel it's all too much we head for the mountains, usually up around this area. Just the place to get life back into perspective again.

Ha, ha...I know what you mean. I just flew back over the most gorgeous snow and mountain scenery over Greenland, but my view was straight into the sun and over the engine propeller. I took no photos and just enjoyed experiencing it with my own eyes.
