Actually, I referred to this giant of rock: It is a monolithic pyroclastic bubble high over 550 m above sea level. Sardinia has lots of mysteries: some say the myth of Hercules derives from a Phoenician/Sardinian worship of the god Milkart; some say that Sardinia was the real Atlantis, as the Pillars of Hercules, at the time of philosopher Platon (who for the first wrote of Atlantis) were between Sicily and Lybia, and the Ocean - where Atlantis and its cities with silver-clad roads existed - was the Tyrrhenian Sea... http://www.regione.sardegna.it/media/thumbnails/360/2008091919432800355_360x360.jpg
@domenicododaro oh haha that is a beautiful mountain for sure. Myths are all based on some fact dont you know! please go fossicking for giant artifacts...Sardinia sounds like a great place and actually rather larger than i imagined by that footage.
@kali66 Hmmm. I confess I needed to look for the meaning of "fossicking" in a dictionary... Now I know a new word (chiefly Australian and New Zealand, says the Merriam-Webster online). A couple of the giant tombs in the documentary are on the way from port/airport to my place: next time I'll go there I'll take some pictures and send you first hand!
