Like Ethel, I prefer this one for the same reasons. There is just enough light to allow us to see the beauty in the shapes of the objects you have chosen and the strips of light draw the eye in to make that further examination.
Great job on both shots- but I think this one is more like Morandi. I'd played with one picture, put it into high key, high contrast and loved the way it looked, but it doesn't look anything like Morandi! His paintings were monochromatic but still had all the nuances of shade and shape- which I think this version has over the other due to its blurriness.
