oxalis

left to its own devices as it was in this pot since last year it looks pretty in full bloom,, which is probably why oxalis was introduced to new zealand as a garden flower in the 1800s ,however its sweet looks disguise a diabolical nature, i started with a little patch in one corner of the garden when i moved in and now it is everywhere!
Exactly. Where were all the bio-security people 200 years ago?

Hope you like the stuff :)

Nice shot but a terrible weed

It's a nightmare and there's no easy way to get rid of it, short of hard core chemicals, so for me it's either constant weeding or constant ignoring ;)

It is pretty seen like this but as Graeme says - its a vicious weed and takes over!

Weeds to some but to those who have little natural green other than pines, this is lovely.

Did you try with a donkey or, even better, a goat? They are pretty more effective than chemical stuff...

@domenicododaro if i had one of those i would have to give up gardening altogether!
@joysabin it was probably lovely for the women who lived in the mud here during the colonisation of new zealand as well,

A wonderful and very colorfully vivid photograph! Simple and elegant at the same time.
