Went and did some long exposures for the nf-sooc challenge. from memory this was about 3 minutes I just love sitting out under the stars and it is really interesting how the colour changes, this was when it just got dark, the end of blue hour, later/longer shots had more orange from the town lights, and i tried some with different white balance settings also, until the lens fogged up. you can see a couple more on my instagram which i edited slightly this was the best composition for sooc

@mharris19 once you have the courage to brave some hot pixels its just a matter of setting up the tripod and setting bulb exposures, the hardest part is seeing in the dark to get a good composition! you have to have a location where you feel safe to sit out too of course , away from too many lights.
Nice! That’s something that I’ve always wanted to try. The challenge for me is finding somewhere far enough away from the city where there’s no light pollution. I’d probably have to drive about 3 hours north of here :)
