I had that problem once...with a tree. It'd send runners all over the yard, especially near the house. Drove me crazy. It cost me $20 to buy the tree and $200 to remove it. Ah, the life of a gardener.
@blueberry1222 hahaha yes my partner planted bamboo many yearsago and its starting to creep where its not wanted... nightmare!! and the beautiful pohutukawa trees that you may have seen on NZers christmas photos , everyone loves to plant them but eventually they get huge and the root systems invade drains and foundations!
