last upload for the nifty fifty straight out of camera challenge for 2021. sOMETIMES i really don't enjoy this focal length, but i suppose thats the point, constrain oneself in order to learn that parameters are a learning tool... a lot of discards due to less than satisfactory compositions, lots of bad exposures due to Av mode not working perfectly with a totally manual old lens, a lot of crooked horizons, itchy tweaking fingers feeling frustrated...and i didnt manage to shoot every day. but thanks Richard for the push, its oddly satisfying .
I sorta see a seahorse. I agree with the good and not so good points of the challenge. It is a chance to go back to my film roots since we didn't have but a few in camera edits back in the medieval photographic days.
aptly titled - you have a good imagination. Now that I have a lens which I can fix at 50mm I shall try and remember to join in next year - I can see that it would be both frustrating and educational.
and yes, the nf-sooc experience is an ambivalent one. overall I enjoy it and i like it
