In the act of swarming

Wish they wouldn't do that! We did manage to climb up on the shed to retrieve them and give them a new home.
Oh my goodness. I guess you know what you are doing around bees. Great collage and pretty coloured beehive.

@robz i was thinking of doing a gif with the sequence of photos to show the movement but the bees fly so fast it doesn't really work

Fantastic presentation.

Yikes! I'd be terrified to get close to them!

@juliedduncan they form a clump hanging from a branch so we clipped it off and it fell into a box , then we tipped all the bees into a waiting empty hive box, they are very placid in their full-of-honey state with no hive to defend, so they are not too hard to deal with.

Yikes. I know you wouldn't be afraid of them like I might be. I'm glad that you managed to contain them, I assume in another box. All the more honey I guess.
