Beauty Makeover by kareenking

Beauty Makeover

What you see is my puppet, Emilou, getting a hair makeover. She has been my sidekick in my work as a Creative Engagement Consultant for individuals in the world of long-term care. She's been manhandled and loved on for over three years now, and I asked the nursing home beautician to do a little work on her hair.
If you're intrigued to know more about Emilou (including the "real" Emilou), visit my website at http://www.thegoldenexperience.com/emilou-and-kareen-king-on-ksnt-topeka-channel-27-sunflower-heroes/.
You can also become her Facebook friend by visiting https://www.facebook.com/emilou.goldenpuppet.
This is awesome!

That's awesome. The elderly sure need you. My dad's been in rehab for a few weeks and it's sad to go there.

This is a precious photo, Kareen! I enjoyed watching the video, listening to your song, and reading about your work in the links you provided. You are a multi-talented person, using your gifts to help others. I am so glad I follow you! My parents are in their 90's, and my father recently broke his back. They are now back at home with home health care. The people we have met through these last two months have been wonderful. We can tell that most really have a heart for working with the elderly, and we are so grateful for them. Thank you for the work you do. I'm tagging my sister, a drama person herself with ties to Kansas. @mbemis

What a great photo. Emilou looks like she's enjoying all the attention. We all need a little special attention now and then--something I'm sure Emilou gives to many people.

fun picture. I've forwarded your link to a friend in Wichita who is involved with the aged. She writes an interesting blog called the Generation Above Me -- about all sorts of issues material, spiritual and cultural related to the elderly.
