I just returned from an amazing weekend in Arkansas with my son, Jonathan. He and I did lots of hiking and exploring, I think this was the crowning moment for me, capturing this beautiful Elk bull. And my son let me borrow his 55-300 lens to get this shot.
Wonderful shot Kareen. I learnt the hard way not to get too close to these bull elks. I got chased around a pick up truck by one. Luckily I was faster than him and he got bored and wandered off to chase someone else! have a look at him @shepherdmanswife/365/2014-09-17
