The middle vulture, by the way, is assuming the "horaltic pose." The horaltic pose is believed to serve multiple functions: drying the wings, warming the body, and baking off bacteria.
My goodness me, never knew that's what it was called. During summer when people round here get hot they sometimes do a similar thing and label it 'cormorant'.
