January 17th was my father in laws 94th birthday. That was the day of the big snow here so we had a small celebration in a local restaurant today. His wife is 94 years old too and as of December 27th they have been married 68 years. He still drives and they live in their home. Today they were remembering when they went to the Harry Truman Inauguration parade, Think it was 1948. History buff can correct me, that is what they thought. They have seen a lot of presidents.
Wow! How wonderful... to live to the nineties, still in good enough health to get out and about, and still sharing life with the one you love! They have lived through a lot of history that is now in the books! That REALLY is something to celebrate!!!!

Wow this is amazing. He certainly does not look anywhere near 94 years old and 68 years married is unbelievable. The inauguration you are talking about took place on Jan 20, 1949 following the 1948 election
Ninety four! That's quite an accomplishment in itself, and to have 68 years of marriage under his belt too.
