We introduced the two mares and their foals. Phoenix, the older colt, was very curious about Echo, the young filly. He kept sneaking over to see her, but her mom, Tonka is not ready yet to let him close. To be honest, Echo was not interested in playing and at her age is still happier being with her mom.
Great capture! It always surprises me how the sweetest mares can become such angry horses once the have a little one to care for but I guess that's what makes them such great mothers.
@sjwyatt30@luvmynynix@3rdxoff@pum71@dh@linah This is Tonka's second foal...I am sure she will relax. The two mares get along fine....Echo honestly didn't seem too interested in Phoenix. She is two weeks younger. Thanks for all your comments.
@herecirm Everything is fine now....moms are friends again....and while the babies aren't too interested in each other, there is no more ear pinning and teeth baring..... :)
I am getting behind. Been out interviewing new barns...things are happening here that put my horse at risk and the owner is not addressing my concerns. I need to get refocused. Thanks Linda...I am so impressed with what you have been doing.....:)
