The herring spawn is on in the Oceanside area....crowds of people gathered on the beaches and cliffs to watch the fishermen just off shore. The spawning herring turned the water turquoise.
@pamknowler This was just off Parksville, B.C. I live in Qualicum Beach. There were dozens of eagles flying overhead, and occasionally swooping in to pick up a herring. Soon they will be nesting.... :)
