The herring spawn started the weekend of March 3. The fishermen were out there trying to haul in as much as they could, and this boat hauled in more than they could handle. The conundrum is, do you cut the nets loose? Do you sink your boat? They did make it in to the fish plant....but there were a few tense moments.
