Eagles on the River

This young female bald eagle was bathing on the shore - taking a break from feasting on the spawning salmon. They do not develop the classic white head until they are at least 3-4years old.

@pamknowler I live in Qualicum Beach, on Vancouver Island, but this Eagle pic was taken in Campbell River.....a little further north up the island.
