I'm house-sitting for my parents who left on vacation. When I was in grade school, they visited Denmark. They saw the statue of the Little Mermaid in Copenhagen harbor and brought this figurine home to remember the statue by. I remember being allowed to carefully handle her (touch only the stone, Elyse!) and trying to pose in the same position she sits in. I thought she was so graceful! Mom and Dad are not jetting off to Europe this time but I still hope they have a good trip!
p.s.: I set her on a glass-topped table to take her picture-- that's the reason for the reflection of the stone.
September 2015 - I dropped my Nikon L22 at the arboretum (on asphalt!) and it's definitely broken. :(
October 2014- finally reached 365 photographs and it...
She is lovely isnt she! Did you know she went to Shanghai to be displayed at the Expo there last year! My Chinese friends who saw her were delighted by her!
