This is a shallow lake that is part of the Cook County Forest Preserves. Today (July 4) I stopped on the way home from a friend's house to enjoy the view and take a few photos, because I've been inside so much lately on account of the heat. There was a strong breeze off the water. This is looking to the northwest. There is an accessible fishing area with a cement deck, which is where I took this picture. (See also July 4 picture)
September 2015 - I dropped my Nikon L22 at the arboretum (on asphalt!) and it's definitely broken. :(
