I walked a couple of extra blocks from the bus stop to work today because streets were closed for the Chicago Cubs' parade. I passed this building. It's a memorial for Dr. John Benjamin Murphy. He was a Chicago surgeon, trained at Rush Medical College. He is famous for a couple of physical examination tests, one for kidney infection and one for cholecystitis. The building is from 1923 and is a popular event venue. (@taffy I thought this was the Driehaus Museum when I took the picture! Whoops!)
