Don't cross the road, chickens, please!

I was on the way to my mom and dad's on Easter when I saw these three off to the side of the road. I asked my dad if any of his neighbors keep chickens and he said he didn't know of any. I have no idea how they got to a Chicago suburb and I hope they found their way home!

@ludwigsdiana @happysnaps @edorreandresen My parents moved in 2013 from the "big house" where I grew up. I've never seen chickens bopping along the side of the street before! There are some enormous houses just east of where they live and I wonder if the chickens came from there. I was so surprised to see them!

There are some folks who keep chickens around here and it's amazing how far they travel from home when allowed to roam or they figure a way out of their pen! good catch!
