Today while I was sitting in the back yard this little lady appeared and sat next to me. She let me pick her up and I took a whole bunch of photos before she finally decided to fly away. Pretty cool you may say but let me tell you why this was so special to me.....
My Mom loved dragonflies. She had them everywhere and wore a dragonfly necklace often. Tomorrow I am honoring her by running a 5k to raise money for lung cancer research and our mascot of course is a dragonfly. Its like she popped by to say "Good luck" tomorrow.
Im sure it will be a good day and we have already raised $425 for the cause. Hope you fly with us tomorrow Mom xxx

Holy macro-shot, Batman! What fantastic detail. I cannot approach within 2 feet of the dragonflies I've photographed. This one let you pick it up; wow! Kudos on PP!
